There is nothing in the Bible that indicates that he was a vegetarian, though in the Old Testament, they didn't eat pork. Given he attended feasts where he would have mostly eaten lamb and fish along with bread and vegetables, and according to the gospels produced the loaves and fishes miracle, he could hardly be a vegetarian. In the Christian religion only some monk orders have restricted meat (but not fish). The oldest and widest religious connection with vegetarianism is India and parts of Greece based on a philosophical non violence towards animals. In fact the advent of Christianity ended any of the old Greek traditions of this still left in the Roman culture. As to pork this is a shared Middle East restriction with Jews and Muslims based on the parasites pigs can contain, these multiply in the heat and produce illness and so were written into ancient teachings in the Middle East.
