It depends on the religion. In Christianity, Jesus is considered God and not a prophet because he is an incarnation of God Himself. In Islam, Jesus is considered to be prophet and not God Himself because God is singular and does not have associates.

In Islam religion, Jesus (peace be upon him) is believed as one of the greatest prophets and one of the greatest messengers of God to mankind. It is not believed in Islam that Jesus is God or son of God.

In the Quran, there is a complete chapter (called Surah) titled 'Maryam' (Mary) that confirms Maryam virgin birth. The Quran states the following on the birth of Jesus (peace be upon him):

(Remember) when the angels said, "O Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him (God), whose name is the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, revered in this world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (to God). He will speak to the people from his cradle and as a man, and he is of the righteous." She said, "My Lord, how can I have a child when no mortal has touched me?" He said, "So (it will be). God creates what He wills. If He decrees a thing, He says to it only, 'Be!' and it is." (Quran, 3:45-47)

Jesus was born as miracle by the word and command of God. This command is, as said in Quran, the same command that had brought Adam into being with neither a father nor a mother. God has said in Quran:

The case of Jesus with God is like the case of Adam. He created him from dust, and then He said to him, "Be!" and he came into being. (Quran, 3/59)

During the prophetic mission of Jesus (peace be upon him), Jesus performed many miracles. God tells us that Jesus said:

"I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you the shape of a bird out of clay, I breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by God's permission. I heal the blind from birth and the leper. And I bring the dead to life by God's permission. And I tell you what you eat and what you store in your houses...." (Quran, 3/49)

Muslims believe that Jesus was not crucified. They believe that the enemies of Jesus (peace upon him) plotted and planned to crucify Jesus. However, God miraculously saved Jesus and raised him up to Him (to God). God, the all powerful and the all capable, put the likeness of Jesus (peace upon him) over another man. The enemies of Jesus (peace upon him) thought that the this other man is Jesus and they took him and crucified him. God has said:

...They said, "We killed the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of God." They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but the likeness of him was put on another man (and they killed that man)... (Quran, 4/157)

Quran says (meaning translation): "Jesus said I am indeed a servant of ALLAH (God). He (God) has given me Revelation and made me prophet and He (God) has made me blessed wheresoever I be and has enjoined on me Prayer and Zakat (Charity) as long as I live. He (God) made me kind to my mother (Mary). Peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day I shall be that I shall be raised up to life again... It is not befitting to the majesty of Allah (God) that he should beget a son. Glory be to him (God) when he determines a matter, He (God) only says to it "Be" and it is. Verily ALLAH (God) is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight" (Quran 19/30-36).

Accordingly, in Islam religion, Jesus (peace upon him) is neither God nor son of God. He is human and God prophet.

It is worthwhile to emphasize that both Jesus (peace upon him) and Mohamed, or may be spelled Muhammad (peace upon him), came to mankind to call for worshiping only and the only one God. Neither of them nor Moses came to change the basic doctrine of the belief in one and only God. this doctrine that was brought by earlier prophets from including Noah, Abraham, Isac, Jacob, David, Solomon, and others. Both Jesus (peace upon him) and Mohamed received the revelation from God to confirm and renew the doctrine of worshiping one (and only one) God.

AnswerJESUS IS THE SON OF GOD -NOT GOD -NOT ANY OTHER GOD

The term "son of God" comes from what God himself declared Jesus (a man-prophet) to be, whether any man refuses to accept and to believe it!

It means by God placing his spirit( HolyGhost- God's godliness) into the soul and mind of the man Jesus. And also by God using the same spirit to raise Jesus from death and the grave unto immortality of a spirit glorified soul, mind, and body. Jesus was a man in the likeness of the first Adam. Adam was created, formed and then made a soul, mind, and body being. The mind was a spiritual mind and not a carnal mind. The carnal mind was made when Adam first sin against God in the garden of Eden. This is the curse that was pass onto all mankind that came after Adam. The carnal mind is also known as the "flesh" or sin nature" or the "world"=the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, the pride of life. Jesus the Christ did not disobey God his Father therefore he did not know or experience the carnal mind which is sin. This is why he is known as the Last man Adam. Jesus is a man born the same way all mankind is made and born physically. But God choose to make Jesus birth into a miracle birth by using a virgin woman and he used a preserve seed from the man,King David, whom God swore an oath to that he would have him to be his son's earthly father. God sent a angel to speak this to be and to go into existence , and then he sent his spirit(holyghost) to bring into the woman's womb the seed of David. Bringing and giving us the miracle birth of Jesus the Christ,Prophet, and Son of God.

Jesus is not God, nor did God himself change his form into a man, nor did God himself be reveal unto mankind as the Father, the Son and then the Holyghost.

God is a SPIRIT!...God is a spirit that has 7 spirit within himself. This is known as the God head=God's Godliness. God is not a man nor the son of a man! This is 100% pure demonic dogma belief to accept and to speak out ,that the creator God had died or is a man or a half man and half god.

Jesus the Christ is a man, and the Son of God, and that God sent him to manifest God's godliness and as a Holy Prophet to speak the truth of Holiness for man's soul Salvation. Obedience to Jesus` teachings will grant us Eternal Life, with him and God.

Jesus - the Prophet, son of god and The god:

The three beliefs are stages in attaining salvation and thus surrender to god completely.

The three stages:

When we believe that Jesus is just a Prophet we lay emphasis on his teachings and accept a teaching when it is beneficial to us. As the teachings become beneficial more often and at critical moments, we consider him as a sacred person and thus as the son of god. When our entire life is always based on the teachings of Jesus we consider him as The god.

The relationship between son of god and The god:

The relationship between father and son of the Christian Trinity has to be understood clearly. While the two can be distinctly different they can become one and the same. We can surrender to Jesus partially and reversibly. However, we have to surrender to the father completely and irreversibly. Thus, the supreme god or father is not meant for the new convert. For the new convert Jesus is the final god.

However, soon Jesus becomes a means to The god. When our surrender to Jesus is complete and irreversible then father and son become indistinguishable. At this stage we attain salvation. Then onwards we shouldn't say that Jesus is the god because son of god and the father are no more separate enitities.

It has to be realized that in any religion the supreme god can never have a form and therefore Jesus can never be considered as the supreme god.

Thus, first we consider Jesus as just a prophet, then as the son of god and finally as god himself.

2nd ANSWER

We believe In one man of (soul, mind, body, blood), The LORD Jesus Christ, the first born begotten of the FATHER by his spoken word, water and spirit. Who is the purpose of why GOD the FATHER created all things, that HE may inherit all things. Who came from the FATHER, made of a woman, born under the law, was tempted in all points, yet without sin, manifested Gods godliness, was made sin for sinners, being an acceptable sacrifice by his death for all sinners, and was crucified. He was resurrected and was made by GOD to be both LORD and SAVIOUR to man. Being now glorified and immortal, ascended unto his GOD and FATHER, and took his given place on the right hand of his FATHER. Subject under GOD and having given authority over all principalities and powers. Who now rules in the CHURCH, which is his body, who will rule over all kingdoms of this world when he returns in his FATHERS GLORY to judge the quick and the dead. At the end, shall return all rule, authority, and power unto him who gave it, his FATHER GOD.

Jesus is not god-PERIOD!, nor is he a separate god.

The Son of God Doctrine is also known as the faith of the Son of God, or the Apostles doctrine. We rightly divide the words of Jesus, of Angels, of the O.T.Prophets, and of the N.T. Apostles. All of their words declare that there is only, one True, and Living God.(Isa.42: 5-8; 44:24/ St.Joh.17: 1-3; 4: 24 / Acts17: 24-29/I.Cor.8: 5,6)All of Gods confessions about himself have always declared him as thee only, ever God. God has never said that he was man or will ever become a man, or ever be made in any fashion of his creations and Death. (Num.23: 19/ Duet.4: 15-19/ I.Joh.1: 5)God cannot Die, EVER! (Psa.90: 1,2) Jesus died! (Luke 23: 46) But before the Beginning, God the Father has his beloved son Jesus, slain (dead) in his divine counsel and purpose.(St.Joh.18: 37/Heb.10: 5-12 /Rev.13: 8)

All of Jesus'confessions about himself have always declared him as the first begotten (proceeded out from what God had said)(St.Joh.1: 14; 3: 16; 8: 42)God spoke his son into existence by his word, by speaking it to be so, and using the seed of David and of the virgin Mary. (St.Luke 1:30-35)St.Matt.1:18-25;Rom.1:3). Notice the likeness of the birth of "Issac and Jesus". Abraham and Sarah was of old age. Sarah was a barren woman, meaning her womb carried no eggs(seed),she was wax old in age, very past time of child barring, when the angel sent by God, to speak the child into existence for the appointed time to be born =A miracle birth.(Gen.17:17-19; 18:9-15; 21:1-8). Now notice Mary, her womb was fertile (eggs) but no man lied with her to conceive, God spoke by an sent angel, and God used the seed of David, and united the two seeds together, by the HolyGhost, and starting making life in the womb.=A miracle birth. Psa. 132:11/Gal.4:4-7./Rev.22:16. When The Bible say, about Mary's womb, that she was conceive of the Holy Ghost, this does not mean that the Holy Ghost is Jesus's father, nor that the Holy Ghost placed a spirit god in her, But, that the Holy Ghost is the spirit and Power of God(miracle performer). The Holy Ghost is serving the purpose of bringing the seed of David into Mary`s womb to conceive in her, because of a virgin Christ will be born through and so that God's sworn oath to David will be kept, that " The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body(seed)will I set upon thy throne",Psa.132:11. Jesus is the offspring of David, from the lineage of Abraham. Remember a woman needs the seed of a man to began life inside of her seed(egg) in order for a woman to make children, this is done through sexual intercourse. The man's seed grants and starts life inside of the woman's egg. Then the woman's body makes the seed into flesh. Therefore Jesus is a man made of a woman(St.John3:6/ Gal.4:4), he is not human and divine at his conception and birth. He was not God himself incarnated into a man, nor God wrap up in the flesh. The record says through "godliness" God was manifested in the flesh. God indwell of himself, by the Holy Ghost into the temple body which is Jesus`s fleshly body, showing forth the godliness of God. God was in Christ, not God was Christ! God is his father by his spoken word and spirit.Psa.89:26,27. Jesus is the son of man(David), and the son of God(by born again of the Holy Ghost and water)St.Matt.1:13-17; St.Luke1:32;St.Joh.1:29-34;I.Joh.5:6-11.

God is a part of his word, Gods word becomes whatever he says it to be! All of Gods creation is a part of Himself. All are by the word of God. Gods word is his seed, and his seed is a part of him. God calls his "words that he speaks", the "word". (St.Joh. 1:1-3/ I.Pet.1: 23) Jesus never said that he was a God, or will be a God, or that he is the Creator God. Jesus made all these confessions about himself in(St.Joh.6: 48; 8:12- 24, 25; 10:7,11, 36; 11: 25; 14: 6; 15:1/ St.Mark.14: 62) None of these confessions by Jesus says " I am" , God! Jesus was a man, and said himself he was a man (flesh and blood) and in his soul and mind through baptism of the HolyGhost, the son of God. Jesus himself contradicts all who say that he is God, when by his own mouth have declare himself to be God's son. (St.Joh 10:36 & 17: 3) All that Jesus was, is, and shall be, is all by God. (St. Joh.5: 19-30/ I. Tim.2: 5/ Heb.8: 1) The glory of God, is "He who is by himself, responsible for creating and making all things that exist, visible and invisible". To be God, means you are all powerful, all knowing, and all presence in reality. There is no one to be subject unto. This glory cannot be shared. This is the glory of being the only true living God. (Rev.19: 6)There is no other God! (Isa.44: 6-8) Before the beginning there was God, and the seven spirits before his throne. (Rev.1: 4; 4: 5) (The spirit of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord)

God was alone, by himself, and in his mind, created Jesus and the Saints, and Angels to be created after his likeness. Man first, to be made with flesh and then secondly perfect in spirit immortality, of Gods image. (Predestinated)(Rom.8: 29,30/ I.Cor 15:51-53. / Eph.1: 3-6/ I.Pet.1: 3,4) Then he began the creation of making (The Beginning)(Gen.1: 1-31) of all heavens and worlds, and all things in heaven and on earth by speaking all things into existence. (This is the Word of God, his hands, this is how all things that were first created, and then were made (Psa.33: 6-9; 102: 25) The Word of God is what God has said. (Isa.55: 11) Gods purpose to create all things was that his son, Jesus would inherit all things, allowing also the saints to be joint-heirs with Christ, along with the heavenly host. (Angels) Therefore creating and making the immortal family of God. (Rev.21: 22-27; 22:1-5) Jesus is before all things (creation), (Eph.1: 9-11; 3:9-11/ Col.1: 15-19/ Rev.3:14) not the creator of all things! Jesus has showed us God, his Father, by manifesting Gods godliness to men and angels. Jesus expresses this perfectly by loving and obeying the Spirit and Word of truth.(I.Tim.3: 16 / Heb.1: 3-9)

You can only consider Jesus the Christ as what the scriptures declares him to be! That is only a man prophet, and the son of God, and God's sent Savior to the world, through his doctrine, death, burial, and resurrection.

Eph.1: 2Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Christ Jesus himself has a God and is made subject unto him.

All three for me. Jesus is part of the Trinity and is God Himself and is God's son, and is a prophet.

From Islam point of view, Jesus (peace be upon him) is one of the 5 greatest prophets; namely Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad. He was supported by miracles from God to convince his followers with his call for them to worship Allah (God in English) as the one and only one God with no son, no partner, no companion, no associate, and no equivalence. AnswerIn Islam Jesus is believed as one of the greatest prophets and messengers but not considered as God or son of God. God created Jesus without biological father the same way he created Adam without father and mother. It was just a word from God to Mary (Mariam) through his Angel Gabriel that she will get a baby called Jesus.

There is a complete chapter (chapter 9) in Quran titled Mariam (Mary).

Muslims believe that Jesus was crucified and he was lifted by his body to Heavens by the will abd capacity of the all Mighty God. The one who was crucified is one of Jesus enemies that God throw on him the likeness of Jesus (By God Capacity) and this one was captured and crucified instead of Jesus. This is the way God saves and rescues all his prophets. Muslims believe that Jesus will be back to earth to bring peace again and reconciliation.
