One of many Scriptures:
Matthew 27:11 New King James Version:
Jesus Faces Pilate
11 Now Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor asked Him, saying, "Are You the King of the Jews?" Jesus said to him, "It is as you say."
Being King of the Jews has a spiritual connotation that's higher than simply being the King of the Israelis. Jews are Jews by choice: by faith and obedience to God's word they are adherents. An Israeli is an Israeli by birth: a citizen. There's no choice involved. He meant He was a descendant of King David, by blood, DNA, and by the Spirit, and that the Jewish throne, with all its rights and prerogatives, rightfully belonged to Him. At this writing, it is Christmas time. It's a curiosity of Christmas that the wise men said they were following the star of the King of the Jews (Matthew 2:2). When He subsequently hung on the cross, Pilate had a title put on the cross: Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews (John 19:19). [Curiosity: Both these references are composed entirely of repeated prime numbers.] That constitutes the testimony of two witnesses (more, actually). In addition to everything else He was, Jesus was the King of the Jews.
Another Answer:
As the promised one whom Moses spoke of and David wrote of, Jesus fulfilled the Sceptre Promise placed upon Judah (4th son of Israel) and assumed the eternal Throne of David - making Him King of kings and Lord of lords.
Additionally, the tribe of Judah (Jews) was given the awesome responsibility to keep, record, and maintain the inspired word - called the 'oracles of God' for all mankind. Each of the other 11 sons of Israel called Israelites had been told their futures with Joseph's two sons - Ephraim and Manasseh receiving the Birthright Promise (see Genesis 48 and 49).
He isn't. Look in Matthew 15:24, Matthew 27:11 and John 18:33-36. It will most likely be more accurate with a KJV Bible.
Pilate had a board put on the cross , which said Jesus king of the Jews. This angered the Jews . And they wanted Pilate to write another board saying Jesus said I am the king of the Jews. Jesus king of the jews
Jews...
King of the Jews.
I believe it said, "King of the Jews." The letters, 'INRI' represent the Latin words, 'Iesvs Nazarenvs Rex Iudaervm' (the latin uses I instead of J, and v instead of u) which means 'Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews'.
This is Jesus "King of the Jews".
Because it read 'King of the Jews'. The Pharisees (Jewish priests who had Jesus crucified) wanted it changed to "I say I am the king of the Jews" but Pilate would not.
Jesus referred to Herod as 'that fox'.
The Jews didn't call Jesus by any name that means king as he would not have been qualified to have been a king by the fact of his lack of lineage.
