Not really. Michael Joesph Jackson was born into a big family. He joined the family's "band" named the Jackson 5. They became a sensation. Michael's singing career was taking off. Michael's father, Joe Jackson, noticed that he had a unique voice, and made him the lead singer. As stated by Michael in an interview, Michael's father would make them practice daily. If they didn't sing it right, Joe would hit his children with whatever was around in a fit of frustration. If they sang it very differently, he would yell, "Sing like Michael!" or, "Michael wouldn't make these mistakes!" Michael's beautiful, angelic voice came naturally.
