Was mass infinitely dense before the big bang?

In the usual model of the Big Bang, there was no "before the big bang". Time, space, energy, and matter all suddenly came into existence with the Big Bang.

There are other models involving higher dimensional spacetimes than the 4D spacetime that we are aware of where things happening in nearby but unreachable parts of the larger spacetime triggered our Big Bang event, in which case those events suddenly compressed the volume at our location to high but noninfinite density.

But basically we can never know about anything before the Big Bang. It is an "event horizon" similar in concept to that around a black hole.

It is presumed that there was infinitely dense mass before the big bang. That is not possible. It is your psychology that you take very very great figures as infinite. Here goes the mathematical proof for the same.

Mass / Volume = Density.

The mass of the universe is finite.

(In fact, you repeatedly state that mass / energy complex can neither be created nor destroyed.)

For any given quantity of the mass, the volume has to be zero to have an infinite density.

The largest mass and smallest volume would not give you infinite density.

Hence proved.

I have copy pasted the statement by my colleague below.

In the usual model of the Big Bang, there was no "before the big bang". Time, space, energy, and matter all suddenly came into existence with the Big Bang.

Let us discuss about time. It is like saying that there was nothing before 2016. There is no time before BC.

Then space is created at the time of big bang. This is like saying that there is no space behind the wall of my house. Space ends there.

Then it is said that energy and matter came into existence. (? from nothing.)

That means that matter and energy can be created from nothing. This contradicts with conservation of the matter and energy.

The fact is that space and time are infinite.

I have put the theory about the creation of matter and antimatter from nothing. Please feel free to point out the mistake in the simple mathematical calculations. Below is the link.

What is inside the Black Hole?

At the center of a black hole is a mass that has collapsed to an infinitely dense point.

What are some materials in a black hole?

There are no materials. All the mass in a black hole is contained in an infinitely dense singularity. Any characteristics that distinguish one form of matter from another are destroyed.

What is the amount of energy?

That would be just before the Big Bang, for soon after some of the energy is converted to mass.

What is the relationship between pressure and gravity in a black hole?

None that is known. All of the mass in a black hole is contained in an infinitely dense point. At this point the laws of physics as we understand them break down. The nature of the singularity is unknown.

How does a black holes get more mass?

A black hole gets more mass by sucking in more matter, i.e. a star or a cloud of dust. However, they do not have infinite density, because they are not infinitely small. Therefore the star that left it behind after going supernova (exploding) did not contract to an infinitesimally small point, and so even if it sucked all the matter in the universe it could not get infinitely dense, since the universe is not infinite.

it will become infinitely densethan a point of a needle that means the mass compressed for all eternity n will not stop to compresswow i even cant imagine how dense n small will it go foreverwell it beyond our knowledge limit just dont try to think it a god who know it

What was there before the universe?

There are a few possible approaches that might be mixed and matched to give a variety of answers, but of course no one knows with certainty. There are various faith-based teachings that could support one or more of these possibilities: Nothing at all. An unimaginably huge mass in a nearly infinitely small space, getting ready to expand. The universe is infinitely, or indefinitely old, with no beginning at all. There were other (perhaps infinitely many) universes in the form of "membranes" existing in what is currently our 11th dimension. It was the collision of two of these "membranes" that initiated our "big bang" and the consequent expansion of our own universe.

Why is a dense object heavy?

In a way that's what dense means. If something is dense then a small volume of it will have lots of mass. Something that has lots of mass will be subject to considerable gravitational force, which is weight.

What is a synonym for the word dense?
