∙ 14y agoThe marriage of Isabella to King Ferdinand of Aragon united Spain and allowed the country to free itself from Moorish rule. After uniting Spain, Ferdinand and Isabella commissioned Christopher Columbus' monumental voyage to the New World in 1492.
