Possibly, but most Mayan records were destroyed centuries ago by the Spanish conquistadores. Certainly the Mayans had the math and the technology to predict lunar eclipses, as did the Druids of Stonehenge and the Greeks, Egyptians and Babylonians. Eclipses are fairly east to predict. The ancient Greeks built a pocket calculator to do the job.
Yes, many pre-industrial civilizations including the Greeks, Egyptians, Sumerians, Mayans and Druids knew about the patterns of eclipses. In fact, the English megalithic ("large stones") monument of Stonehenge was built as an eclipse predictor.

(posted 3/22/10) The next eclipse will be a solar eclipse on July 11, 2010; if you live on Easter Island, it should be spectacular. The path of totality includes a few islands in French Polynesia, a LONG swath of the South Pacific, Easter Island and tiny slices of Argentina and Chile. After that, all of North America will experience a total lunar eclipse on December 21, 2010.
