Yes, the Panzer mark IV was used a lot in North Africa under the command of Rommel. They were very useful, and far superior in gun-power than British tanks used at the time, such as the Matilda.

I am presuming that this is for a scale model but the Panzer Kampfwagen II saw little action in WWII (in favour of the Panzer III) but it was used in North Africa, so desert scheme would be applicable however there are many variations on the field grey color scheme found througout Nazi tanks, including that with hints of a deep forest green.
