it reflects the color of the sky
(like how the ocean is gray during a storm)
A clear blue lake is often appealing to humans; it seems like a good place for a swim, like a swimming pool. Biologically, however, there is probably nothing living in it. When plants are living in the water, it usually gains a greenish tinge. The presence of plants and animals tends to cloud the water due to their activities and body processes. So, no organics, nothing to "cover up" the clear blue. Most acidic bodies of water do not look polluted. As decaying organic matter settles, acidified water can appear clear and blue.
The ocean loses 37,000 km cubed of water considering the evaporation and precipitation over it. But the land and ocean water evens out.
blue because it is all you can see when you look at a map
A noun functions as the subject of a sentence or a clause, and the object of the verb or a preposition. Examples for the noun ocean: The ocean looked bright and blue from our balcony. I picked up a curious object that the ocean had dropped at my feet. A splash in the ocean will perk you right up. "I will drown that punk in the ocean so that nobody will find him."
It chemically reacts to the tap water, so the green in iodine, reacts violently and causes a mixture according to make it blue.
water is really always clear just depending on the cup it looks different colors ( unless someone pulled a prank and turned the water blue with dye) but in movies its blue because they cant take a glass cup and put clear water because you wouldn't see it. So they make it blue cause its closest to clear and that's the color of the ocean
When you look into an ocean or a lake, the water looks like it's blue. But, up close, water isn't really blue. It's only blue when you look at it in big groups, (like an ocean or a lake, a pond etc.), because the sky is blue, so the color of the sky makes a blue reflection on the water, making it look blue. So, on a map, if you drew water as clear, nobody would be able to tell there was anything there at all! So, water on a map is drawn blue instead.
Its not stagnant. Whether its from rain or underground rivers the water must be clear/clean. Dirty water is not clear, obviously.
The cause is mostly from pollution
They are MOSTLY right but the ocean isn't always green (which is caused by algae and seaweed because the water IS colorless); in some ares like Destine, Florida (for example) the water is totally clear and you can see EVERYTHING (from small fish, crabs, seashells, the sand, to other undersea creatures) until you get farther out into the ocean where it appears blue due to the sky's reflection. She is right the water is clear but with the sun and water;the sun makes a rainbow in the water so it terns blue or green.

Kind of. You see, the actual color of the sky is clear. When the sun's rays hits the ocean water, it reflects into the air, and makes the sky look blue to the human eye. However, water is also clear. The ocean is clear. The things that makes it it's colors are the Sun's rays and what's inside of it like algae and all that stuff. So technically yes, the color of water affects the color of the sky.
Clear Blue Water allows you to view comic archives and read cartoons. They allow you to upload your comics to this website so other people may view them.
Mexico's beaches appear so blue because they do not contain plankton and suspended sediment. The ocean absorbs wavelengths of light except for the blue, which is another reason for the clear, blue appearance.
The ocean, or the water in the ocean, is actually colorless. They reflect the color of the sky above them so a blue ocean means the sky is mostly blue while a grey ocean means that the sky is grey or cloudy.
Hawaii does not have lakes, it has small ponds though.
In general open expanses of water reflect whatever colour is predominant in the environment. This usually tends to be the sky colour. If the sky is clear, water in the sea or lakes will appear blue. If the sky is dull, so also will be the water surface. The tap water in the glass will still usually be clear.
