I've employed Well Planners for 15 years. The current rate I use is for a junior WP (relevant degree and 0-2 yr exp.) start at $90,000 - $120,000.
For a Senior WP (5+ yr exp.) $160,000 - $200,000.
Some have stepped up faster to the intermediate level (~$140,000) region in under 2 years however usually they'll be working alone and be doing Torque and Drag, Hydraulics, EOWRs, BHA Trend Analysis etc with little supervision.
