People don't worship the Buddha, he is revered by his followers for showing us how to be enlighten so that we can enjoy our lives and be calm no matter what is happening. We go to temples to meditate, receive teachings and to perform rituals that reinforced his teachings.

The main areas of the world in which there are numerous Buddhists are south East Asia, China, Japan and Korea.

The Buddha and his teachings are revered around the world and in every country. Buddha is not however worshiped, only deities are worshipped and Buddhism has no deities.
