Has the fan failed completely or does it run only on highest speed. The resistor pack fuse fails which stops it running on low speeds
Fuses are in the dash on either left or right hand side, open the doors and there is a removable panel on the end of the dash board, fuses are under there.
If it's the resitor pack fuse that's gone then this is a different matter, this is located inside the fan motor assembly which is under passenger side behind glove compartment.
You will need to remove the polystyrene cover and pull the cable connector from the fan. Then push the connector on the fan to one side and the resistor pack slides out.
The fuse is a thermal fuse and can be bought from Maplin for about 80 pence. you just have to be handy and able to solder it into place. You will need one rated at about 220 degrees.
To test you could short it out temporarily and prove it has gone or if you have a multimeter you could check it out with that.
