The fan switch is a sensor located in right side of the head
On the '92 sunblrd SE the power for the lights to from fuse to headlight switch to dimmer switch to bulb, no relay involved.
behind the radiator
Push.
replace only, make sure that is the real problem, the fans only run when the temp goes above 92 degrees celsius
Either the fan itself is burnt out or the temperature control switch that tells it when to turn on is bad.
yes, but that's because the previous owner took out the stock clutch fan and put in a electric fan, it has a toggle switch to turn it off and on Yes, 89-92 305 TBI should all have fan switches, the fan switch is located between cylinders 8 and 6 on the passanger side head. There is also a temp sender located directly atop the manifold on the front of the engine and a fan switch relay on the pasanger side next the the firewall. If your fan runs with your heater or A/C on the problem is 9/10 your Fan switch between cylinders 8 and 6. If it does not work with the heater or A/C running id start with your fuse or your relay.
I would suggest replacing it.
== == Obviously the switch that controls the fan motor is not working properly, an needs to be replaced. The switch is supposed to turn the fan on and off.
It will run continuously when the A/C or Defrost are on. If it is running without these being on then the thermal switch is defective.
Run the A/C all the time until you get it fixed. It will run anytime the A/C is on. It has to be a defective thermal switch, or defective wiring, for the fan if the fan itself is good. I had the same problem and it was a simple $11 relay switch that solved the problem
Defective Coil pack, defective spark wires, plugs. Bad ground(s). Open (electrical short) in starting system. Faulty Ignition switch, ECM, other.
Get a new switch.
