Although the Marriott Corporation is owned and operated by a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" Church), the Church itself does not have any holdings in the Marriott Corporation. (This is why you often find a Book of Mormon next to the Gideon's Bible in the nightstand at Marriott hotels.)
