As far as I know, you cannot get a sniper in any Lego Star Wars video game. However, lots of characters come with guns, but as no Star Wars films really featured snipers, there probably won't be any Lego ones. But who knows what characters will appear in future games and sets?

The sniper always plays a significant role in any battle, but rarely in any war. In most cases wars are won or lost by major events like the capture of a Capital City, the surrender of a major battelfield command or the bombing of major cities as in the case of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in WWII. Snipers perform with surgical expertise, but they rarely have targets of political or strategic value. The Battles of Leningrad and Stalingrad saw extensive use of snipers by both the Germans and the USSR and provide numerous stories of tactical victory. Each of these Battles was won by the big battalions, lack of adequate supplies and General Winter. The Pacific Campaign as seen through the eyes of Hollywood showed Japanese Snipers in the upper reaches of Palm trees decimating the invasion troops. High ground is desireable, but very few Real World snipers would select a firing position that offered a zero fall back position. Very few combat photographers captured the effectiveness of snipers, a Marine with a scoped M1911A1 would never allow a photo crew within a mile of his position. Cover and Concealment are essential to a sniper trying to make a one shot kill.
