What's a good treatment for anxiey I'm currently on doxepin and alprazolam....but i don't' feel the way i did..isn't there a miracle treatment?

My impression is that certain SSRIs like Paxil and Zoloft, are useful for treating some forms of anxiety. So are other drugs like Effexor XR. While Doxepin and alprazolam have sedating properties, these don't strike me as first choices. If it were me, I would ask my doc about why they chose this, and what about the options I just mentioned. Now, there may be good reasons this regimen was chosen for you. paxil helped me, and xanax but xanax has a high abuse rate
