What's the best way to tell your ex that you can't be friends right now and at the same time make her regret breaking up with you because she wants to be friends but you are hurt and want her back?

It's called "communication!" Take a walk with her or sit at a quiet coffee shop and express how you feel. Tell her if she doesn't love you then you are moving on and that you can't "just be friends." I've said over and over again in other posts, that if there is a split-up it seldom ever works where both can be friends. The person that has been jaded will always love the other person and it would hurt too much to see the one they love date other guys/gals. Speak up! Don't be afraid to express yourself. You sound like you are a smart guy and have come to the end of your tether, so I would have it out with her once and for all. If she's not willing to get back together then move on. Sometimes, some women are quite taken by having two guys interested in her, and they may want that old boyfriend there like a comfy old slipper just in case one of their relationships doesn't work out.
