What is a nondenomination?

Nondenomination or nondenominational refers to a christian organization, group, place or thing that is Christian in nature but isn't officially a part of a specific established christian denomination. Another word for nondenominational church could be independent church. Another answerThe Christian Church is split into denominations - groups that have a common way of worship, and in some cases, slightly different beliefs. As examples, denominations include the Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Episcopalians, Baptists, Methodists, URC, Salvationists, Pentecostals and so on.If a particular church does not belong to a denomination, then it is called nondenominational or a 'nondenomination'. Another name of a nondenominational church is a 'free' church. Most free churches are very Biblical and orthodox in their beliefs, but there are some dangers in being nondenominational. In denominational churches beliefs are checked and are accountable to the church authorities world wide. In a nondenominational church, unless care is taken over doctrine, it is possible that heresies, fundamentalism or exclusivity can creep in as the church members are accountable to no one.

Do Spiritualists believe in Christ's second coming?

There are various Spiritualist variants (like there are various Christian variants). But, many wouldn't believe in that 2nd coming. It would be the return of Christ, as in Christ Consciousness (or way of thinking). Spiritualist religion is also like Christianity 2000 years ago. There's also the belief in the ending of earth's isolation in the universe, which would be much like the Christian concept of Jesus' second coming.

What is the difference between modern spiritualist and Christian spiritualism?

Spiritualism in the popular context involves spirtual ( Time Travel) in the unapproved occult context of communications with the dead. the proceses are varied and often spark of stage magic ( Houdini was adamantly opposed to spiritualism and spent a good deal of time and money combatting it). On the other hand Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was the virtual CROWN PRINCE of the spiritualist realm. such variants as seances, code numbers for phone calls with the deceased, etc go on and on. audio and audio-visual hallucinations find their way into the pot- the mixed up spiritualist cauldron, proceed at your own risk- John the apostle warns- But Try the Spirits if they be of God ! ( not Miller High Life, of course!)

How do you convert to become a Spiritualist?

if you are any religion, you'll be one already ------------------------------------------------------------------- The above answer is entirely wrong. Spiritualists believe in the ability to contact those that have died through spirit mediums. Some religions (e.g. christianity) prohibit such actions and many very religious persons would not even consider participating in such activity (whether their religion prohibited it or not, they just have no interest in contacting "the dead"). ------------------------------------------------------------------- However, many Spiritualists take part in christian style services and believe in the majority of the christian teachings.

Are there any baptism records kept by the spiritualist church?

Firstly, it is necessary to recognize that there are two very broad groups of Spiritualists (sometimes referred to as Spiritists). Generally speaking, Spiritualists acknowledge the existence of God (or at least a Supreme Being) in spirit form only and Jesus also as a spirit form and the ultimate "medium", the means by which they may contact the spirits of those who have died. Most often these groups do not acknowledge the traditional sacraments of Christianity, although they may celebrate a "naming day" and records of these may well be kept by established Spiritualist churches. There are also other groups who vehemently prefer to be known as Spiritists and do not acknowledge God but may acknowledge Jesus but again as a "master medium or magician". Their meeting places may oftentimes be quite random so it is difficult to say with certainty that they observe naming days or keep records in any particular centralized place. As a matter of further enlightenment, in the city where I live there is a Spiritualist group who have been based for many years in the one church building and are known as The Christian Spiritual Alliance. In my experience, I have found Spiritualism to be a rather confusing if not nebulous area. Answer As the above answer states, most Spiritualists do not recognise Christian sacraments -which includes Baptism, and therefore they do not keep baprismal records. Whilst there are various organisations that call themselves "'Christian' Spiritualism" in various guises, this naming is usually limited to adopting some of the Christian principles of caring for others albethey on a limited and, some would say, rather confused level. As Spiritualists do not accept the divinity of Christ, by their own admission, nor the omipotence of God, nor accept the teachings of Christ they cannot, by their own rules and admission, be thought of as a Christian Church or denomination. Therefore, baptism is irrelevant to them, and would not be accepted by the Christian Church even if it was, and so no baptismal records are kept.

What are the qualification and effect of anointing?

Please note that I am a Bible-believing, nondenomination Christian. According to the Bible, (I will use the King James version as it is used by most Christian denominations), anointing comes from God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), and is used for cleansing, and was also given to the elders of a church body for healing purposes. The word "anoint" in Hebrew means "overflow," and usually pertains to the use of oil, pouring it over a person's head. In the Greek, the word anoint can mean "spread, rub, apply, or smear with." You may find these examples in: Exodus 28:41, Ruth 3:3, Matthew 6:17, Mark 16:1, Luke 7:46, and Revelations 3:18. These are only a few of the examples spoken of in the Bible.
