Yes I believe actually the 1986 to 1992 Volvo 240 4 doors are all interchangeable parts but I'm not sure for 1985 and earlier models.
Many of them, mostly with a Volvo 850.
Yes. They are exactly the same as long as the newer wagon is also a 240 (not a 740). All 240 hoods are interchangeable from 1986 on.
95-97 are very interchangeable. Pretty much all body parts should be. Engine parts depend on which models your are changing between. Your question is too broad, try narrowing it down. What parts did you have in mind?
ipd seems to have a good selectionipdusa.comAlso less specific parts fcpgroton.com is a good resource
Europartsdirect.com is also a great source for '89 240. Sometimes cheaper than IPDUSA.

how do adjust timing belt on a volvo 240 DL ?
how do you reset engine light on 1991 volvo 240
the interchangeable parts where invented in 1798.
Not too many. Some light bulbs are interchangeable, the door lock motors are too, and probably some seat pieces; if you worked hard to find a way to fit it, the stereo is probably interchangeable as well. The body parts require heavy modification to swap them, it's usually not worth the hassle, and the engine would, probably, also require heavy modification to fit. These two cars have very different bodies, and drive trains. There will not be a plethora of interchangeable pieces.
