Not all Australians celebrate Christmas on the beach. However, for those who do, there are many factors. The weather is often hot at Christmas time, being Australia's summer, so the beach is the perfect place to celebrate. There is no limit to the size of family gatherings on the beach.A barbequed dinner near the beach means less cleanup at home. There are lots of family activities to enjoy on the beach when everyone gathers together. There is no concern about the children becoming bored.
the germans have a white christmas, austrlians dont, its in the middle of summer. the germans celebrate christmas a lot more, they start their christmas event even before december. in australia we just celebrate christmas on the one day.
I am a Mexican and we celebrate Christmas from Dec 24- Jan 6. We just celebrate normal Christmas and then kings day (I call it Wiseman day cause it's a better translation) and we keep our Christmas decorations well into January. In Mexico, they come down on Jan 6. To some people, Feb 2 also counts as Christmas. We have kings bread and hot cocoa on Jan 6 and children get presents from the wise men (double Christmas LoL) In the bread there is a baby Jesus and whoever gets it has to invite everyone present for tamales and coffee/ hot cocoa/ champuriño.
Yes. This is the official designated date for Christmas everywhere in the western world. The only difference is that Christmas falls during summer in the Southern Hemisphere, so Australia experiences hot weather during this festive season.
That would depend on where you are, in some countries, snow and cold, others hot and humid, some do not have a Christmas as we know it, for religious reasons. so lots of different people eat different things depending on where in the world you are and what religion you follow if any. so could be many smells depending on where you are!
