An herbarium is a collection of dried and pressed plants. There are plant presses but a cheaper alternative is pressing the plants between books or newspapers. Attach the pressed specimens to heavy paper using glue or masking tape.

In simple staining the bacterial smear stained with single dye or reagent which bring the distinctive contrast between organism and its background. PROCEDURE: 1 Prepare bacterial smear by placing loopfull culture of bacteria on slide. 2 Allow the slide to dry and heat fix it over flame. Do not heat extreamly, it can demage the shape or structure of bacteria. 3 Now flood the smear with methylene blue for 1-2 minutes. 4 Gently wash the smear with distill water to remove excess stain and dry it slowly with tissue paper. 5 Examine the slide in 100x or oil-immersion for the morphology of bacteria.
you can not really study for bio paper 6 its all about practice. do lots of past papers to find out the pattern they use its mostly going to ask u to draw and compare,improve or design an experiment,make calculations from tables and complete the graph as well as suggest why the drawing is drawn the way it is...such as incorrect points on the graph or explain why the rate is slower/faster than the rest.
