Still, most colleges and universities now admit that the GRE is not a good predictor of a students success at the graduate level. They may require you to take it, but many do not pay particular attention to it. They really look at candidates as a whole person, and not just in parts. Still, you must remember that the GRE is only a small part of the selection process, with many schools not heavily concerned about the score (if it is even required). There are many other factors which are or concern. Some might include, GPA of undergraduate coursework, essay, rigor of undergraduate coursework, interview (if required), recommendations, ethnicity, etc.
