My 2009 Hyundai has 40K miles and recently started to smell like excrement. Drive the car, turn on the vents, open the windows or gag! Terrible. I changed the cabin air filter, no change.
I have a 2000 Hyundai sonata, and I read in the manual that the air bag light comes on when it is time to have them serviced or checked. Also, check out sonata recalls. I have heard of some recalls concerning air bags on sonatas.
give me the answer please
5yrs 60k miles normally
most hyundai's come with a 60,000 mile warranty. or it can be upgraded to 100,000. but none of the warranties comes with air conditioner coverage
The rotten smell comes from the cabin air filter. i have the same smell and it is on my list to get my 2000 v-6 sonata back up to par.
The 2007 Hyundai IAT sensor can be found connected to the air intake hose. The sensor will be between the air filter box and the top of the engine.
The intake air temperature (IAT) sensor of the 1997 Hyundai Sonata is located in the air hose assembly. Follow the air hose to the immediate entrance to the air filter box and that is where to find the IAT wiring harness.
It is located between the throttle body and the air filter canister.
I did not think this car had a cabin filter. If it does just call the Dealer.
It has a combo condenser/dryer. Don't need a seperate dryer part.
Well I'm thinking that most manufacturers keep the cabin air filter in the same place. I have a 1999 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6 and the cabin air filter in that car is back behind the glove box....if I am right about this your cars air filter should be in the same place...but if it's not there I would call the dealership and talk to them about it.
Purchase a Purolator Cabin Filter for your car, it comes with complete instructions.
