Maths and English are what most courses will require you to have, as well as three other passes. Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Geography are also good to have! Try looking into university courses to see what they require.
You should take a course in Biology because half of biology is the study of zoology which you would want to take anyways and the other half of biology is the study of plants (botany).

Zoologist's should have the ability to take care of animals. This is achieved with an education. A zoologist should also have compassion for animals.
Subjects needed to become a lyricist are music classes and appreciation. Other subjects that should be taken are sheet music and business as it relates to music.
