I should have mentioned what I believe my bird is. I think it's a Baltimore Oriole.

I was bitten today by a small black insect with yellow stripes, I think it was a spider but I am not too sure.

Under special circumstances it is possible - if the black female had the recessive gene for the yellow color and is bred to a yellow male with all-yellow gene background she could have at least some yellow pups in the litter.
Depending on the amount of black you use, you can get various shades of olive green. A small dab of black can also dull down a too bright yellow. But be careful, black is very powerful, so experiment with your mixtures until you get what you want.
