As of my knowledge cutoff date in October 2021, two US Navy ships have been christened with the name Topeka. The first one is the USS Topeka (CL-67), which was a Cleveland-class light cruiser commissioned in 1949 and decommissioned in 1959. The second one is the USS Topeka (SSN-754), which is a Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine commissioned in 1989 and is currently in active service.
