Dwight Eisenhower was very much alive in 1949 so his picture couldn't be on a circulating coin, and in any case the former 5-star general would have been court-martialed for hair like that!General and President Eisenhower appeared on the $1 coin from 1971 to 1978. Please look at your coin again. The person on the front is Miss Liberty! Dwight Eisenhower was a 32-year-old Army officer in 1922 so he certainly wouldn't have his picture on a coin.
His picture is on both the Two dollar bill and the five cent coin.
