In May of 1864, at the Battle of Spotsylvania, Union Colonel Emery Upton led 5,000 troops in a fixed bayonet charge. His advance however, was not supported by other Union forces, and it faded as night fell upon the battlefield.
On May 3, 1863, the Battle of Chancellorsville was still undecided. Union General John Sedgwick's 6th Corps stormed Marye's Heights with a daring bayonet charge. Outnumbered Confederate forces under General Jubal Early. In a sense, this was a bit of revenge for the Union disaster at Fredericksburg where Confederates held the Heights and ripped General Burnside's army to pieces.
