Two very important wrestlers who died were Andre The Giant and Eddie Guerro. Andre The Giant was actually due for the WWE title that year, but he was coming down with major symptoms of gigantism that year, and wanted to spend his final months with his family in France. So, instead of him winning a match against Hulk Hogan to be qualified to go against the champ for the title, he was supposed to lose to Hulk and then disappear from the WWF forever. Instead, he was in his match against Hogan when he kicked out of a pin, and unaccording to his script, pinned Hulk. Mr. McMahon had to actually proclaim a DQ on Andre and have a rematch. Only this time, Hulk Asked to make sure that Andre knew that he was supposed to win. Andre died six months after Wrestlemania, where he was meant to win his title.

Eddie Guerro's death was less dramatic but more widely known. He tragically died of heart problems, and was mourned by the entire WWE roster.
