If you want to use wireless internet to connect a second PC to a router, you can use a cable cord, or coaxial cable. This can be hooked directly to the router.
Adding detail to my question... I have a laptop that has full wifi, and another with no wifi, and it cannot use an adapter... Is there any way I can connect wirelessly to a spare router I have, as well as my internet enabled router (I have a USB WiFi adapter I could use to make 2 connections), and then connect the laptop with no wifi to the spare router via ethernet to get internet? The laptop with wifi is windows 8, and the other is fedora 19. Thanks!
If your router keeps shutting off and rebooting, when you try and access WiFi, it sounds like your router is bad. Another sign the router is bad is your ability to use a wired connection without a problem.
If you have a wifi network then the ipod touch can connect to it. You need some kind of transmitter for the ipod to use, something to connect the ipod to the Internet. If you don't have a wireless router then you cannot connect your ipod. This is how it works: Internet > Router > Ipod Touch Without something to create a wifi network you cannot connect the ipod. If you have a router then all you have to do (on your ipod) is go into settings>wifi then click on your network and type in the password.
No - you use a Wifi card or USB Wifi adapter to access the router. Bluetooth operates on the same frequency as Wifi (2.4Ghz), however the transmission protocol is different and at a lower power.
Yes it is possible to use a Netgear wifi router on a smartphone. Smartphones have a wifi receiver that it can be used for wifi repeating or wifi giving.
Use WDS (Wireless Distribution System) function of your ADSL router.
Yes, any wireless router can be used with the iPad without a computer.
Your game and your system use 2 different tipes of wifi. Check your games wifi settings and connect to wifi by booting up Pokemon heart gold and select wifi settings and tweak them!
No it can not. you need a specific router to be able to use xbox live. It is possible to use an ethernet cable to connect to xbox live, or you could do what i do which is using my laptop as a connection bridge to connect to the xbox using wifi.
yes you do. the two main ways to get on the Internet with an iPad is 3G or wifi so if u don't have 3G you need to connect to wifi.(There's also 2G but I think you only use that in areas where 3G isn't available if u have 3G on your device)
Well, if you purchase a router, any computer in the same household would be able to connect to the internet connection wireless. There might have be an installation CD that comes with the purchase of the router to set up wifi on the computers.
No. You have to be in range of a WiFi router (mostly this is limited to 100 meters or so for any one router). However there are space based router satellites that one can connect to from almost anywhere (where you can see the sky) if you have the correct equipment. This is what journalists use when they are in the field.
