1200 watt wiring kit suitable for a 800 watt amp and 1100 watt sub not sure whether this would have a effect on the cables?

1200 Watt wiring is more than enough for an 800 Watt amp. The rating of the sub doesn't make any difference to the cables. If you want to use the sub to its rated power you should get a bigger amp. If the amp can only give out 800 Watts and the sub can take 1100 Watts then you can put a bigger amp on. It is still going to be loud as with an 800 Watt amp. I have a 300 watt amp with a 1200 Watt sub and people hear me coming.

Will a 5000 watt amp wiring kit work well on a 1600 watt amp?

Yes I do not see why not as long as the in line fuse does not exceed the power the amp is pulling. You want the fuse to blow instead of the amp so you need a fuse that can only handle 1600 watts or the equivalent to....

Can you use a 1000 watt wiring kit for a 1200 watt amp?

do amps get pushed? Normally a 1200 watt amp would need driving with less than 12 watts of audio.

Which kind of wires will I need to hook up my Amp?

You'll need RCA style cables to connect from your headunit to the amp. You'll then need Speaker Wire to run from the outputs of the Amp to the speaker terminals. You'll also need a heavy gauge power wire. A wiring kit such as the StreetWires Power Station PSK04Ri 4-gauge amplifier wiring kit.

What do you need for a car audio system - just a CD player - speakers - and an amplifier?

head unit, wiring harness, installation kit, amp, amp wiring kit that matches wattage (includes power wire with spec inline fuse, ground cable, rca cables, and speaker wire), speakers, and a kit of electrical connections with crimpers/strippers is recommended.

How do you determine what kind of amp wiring kit you need?

First of all you need to know how many watts your amp is. Next go to a place that has the kits. The kit will usually tell you what size gauge power wire you will need. You also need to determine or verify if you will run your wire thru the hood or thru the firewall of the vehicle. have a nice day.

How do you hook up an amp?

first you have to buy a amp hookup kit. then the long red wire in the amp kit you take the end with the fuse on it and hook it up to the battery. then you have to drill a hole in your. firewall and run the wire to the amp in the trunk of your car. then you take the big black wire and ground it to anything metal on ur car. make sure it is tight. then you take the aux cable and hook them into the back of the stereo and run the to the left or right input on the amp. Make sure that the power wire and aux cable are on opposite sides of the vehicle for less distortion and interference.then you take speaker wire and hook it up to the rear output of the amp and run it to your speaker. then you take another speaker wire and run it from the front output and run it to your rear factory speakers on the high input level. and you should be jammin down the road then.

Will an 8 gauge wiring kit support 2 12 inch subs and a 500 watt amp?

at least 8 gauge would work depending how long your running the wire. The number of subs does not matter, only the power rating of the amp does. my advise would be to just go ahead and buy a GOOD 4 gauge kit, this will give you more flexibility when you may decide to upgrade your system. don't cheap out with anything it's just a waste of money.

Car amp installation?

To install a amp, You will need to purchess a wiring kit. You will see three screws on the amp, One that says, pos another that says neg/gnd and another that says rem. The one taht says pos is positive. That is where you put the red wire. The red wire connectes to your battery, before connecting it though, the wiring kit should have came with a fuse setup. The fuse has to get connected to the red wire that comes with the kit. Typically you have to cut the red wire (the one that came with the kit, not the one connected to the battery) and put the fuse system in there put the fuse about 6 inches from the battery. After doing that, dont hook up that wire yet. The neg/gnd means negative or ground. The kit also came with a black wire. You want to hook that up anywhere on your car that is metal to ground out the amp. Hook that up first. You dont have to drag the wire up to your battery like you do your red one. Anywhere in your trunk that is metal is fine. And now the rem. Rem stands for remote. That hooks into your aftermarket stereo. Typically a blue wire but it will say on it. And then you get a long audio cable. White and red that also plugs into the back of your radio. That hooks into your amp as well.

Which is your right and left sub. If you are only using one sub you will have to bridge the speaker simply by putting your positive wire coming from the sub on the R + and the negative wire coming from the sub on your L - and that's pretty much it. Hope this helps.
