Leadbeater's possums don't glide, but they can leap from tree to tree in search of food. Like all possums, including those in the glider family, they climb trees using their sharp claws, and walk along branches.

∙ 11y agoAs arboreal-dwelling animals, Leadbeater's possums protect themselves by sheltering inside tree tree hollows and remaining in trees wherever possible. Their biggest threat tends to be bushfires, rather than predators, as they shelter in trees in old-growth bushland in bushfire-prone areas of Victoria.
