The minimum age for this is probably the age when you are legally an adult in your country, depending on where you live. There is a legal process known as emancipation that is available in some states. This allows a minor to show that they can support themselves and take care of their affairs. You'd have to look in the laws for your specific state to see if it is available and what the requirements are. Most places require you to be at least 16.

∙ 11y agoChildren cannot divorce their parents. Divorce is the dissolution of a marriage. A person can make their own decisions when they have reached the age of majority which is eighteen in Illinois.
