Self esteem matters at all ages.
Self-esteem starts in childhood with esteem from parents. Usually, it's parents' attitudes to simple everyday things that matter. For example, do parents assume as a matter of course that their children will be competent or incompetent? Does a parent assume that if an 8 year old is asked to carry a tray with glasses of cola that he/she will spill the drinks? Does a parent assume that a child will be punctual or late, and so on. It is important that parents instill a feeling of worth and capability in children from the time they are able to do things. This will go with them their entire lives.
Self-esteem development typically begins in childhood, around the age of 5, and continues to influence individuals throughout their lives. It is particularly important during adolescence when individuals are forming their identity and self-concept. However, self-esteem remains a critical factor for mental well-being and success in adulthood as well.
Age can influence someones self- esteem because they might think their ugly because of their wrinkles.

Age doesn't matter, it's how bad it is.
Depends on the test, but in general, age shouldn't matter. If the mean/average score for an IQ test is 100 with a standard deviation of 15 (like the WAIS-IV for example) then average is always 100 no matter the age, with the average range considered 85-115.
Someone with a strong super ego but low self-esteem may present as overly critical of themselves, constantly seeking approval from others, and struggling to feel confident in their own abilities. They may have high standards for themselves set by their super ego, but lack the self-assurance to meet those standards, leading to inner conflict and insecurity.
Low selfesteem.

No. If you really love him, age does not matter.
Some think that age does not matter in marriage while others disagree. It truly depends on the two people in the marriage.
