left margin
Fully-justified alignment.
Left align
This is left alignment.
Justified alignment will result in a ragged left and right margin, as it aligns the text on both sides by adjusting the spacing between words. This can create uneven gaps between words, leading to a jagged appearance at the margins.
auto alignment
The placement of paragraph text relative to the left and right document margins is called paragraph alignment. The manner in which text displays around an object is text wrapping.
To set the left & right margins... Click Format > Page > Page > type values for your margins in the relevant boxes > OK Alignment is defining where on the page that text will line up. Tex normally aligns to the left margin - however, you can align to the right margin or even centre each line on the page.
Align with the right margin, center across the page, and align with both margins
left, right, or center
First, you need to open the formatting palette under the "View" menu item. Select the "Alignment and Spacing" tab. The top row of icons allows horizontal alignment for left, center, right and justified (all lines end at the same point on the right margin). You can preset the alignment before typing, or highlight the text you want to change, and click the appropriate alignment button. If you need to indent, you can either specify a numerical position by typing the relative amount you want to indent (in inches), or you can open the "Bullets and Numbering" tab and use the fixed "indent" and "outdent" icons that appear on the right side of the pallet.
