6 subdivisions found in a liquid mesuring cup
1 pint = 2 cups 1 cup = 0.5 pint
A mL is a unit for measuring a liquid, a mile is a distance measurement.
Depends, I have 3 different sets that together measure from 1/4 teaspoon to 1.5 cups , with about 12 sizes between that.
that depends on what substance you are measuring, grams are a measure of mass, while liters are a measure of volume. for liquid water, 1 milliliter = 1 gram.
The easiest way is to get a small measuring cup with fractions of ounces and fill it to the one-ounce mark with water or another suitable liquid. Then drop the marble in and subtract 1 ounce from the new measurement. If you can't find a small measuring cup, use a large one and use more marbles, then divide your results by the number of marbles used. If you can't do that, then somehow measure the diameter of the marble, divide it by 2 to find the radius, and plug it into this formula: (4 . pi . r3) / 3 = volume of sphere. Answer: Obviously the use of a graduated cylinder wuld make the process more accurate than using a measuring cup as it is marked in 1 ml increments. Alternately the marble can be weigher and the indicated mass multiplied by the typical specific gravity of glass (2.58) to give the volume
One cup of granulated sugar measured in a liquid Pyrex cup is the same as 1 cup of sugar measured in a dry measuring cup. However, if you are talking about how much liquid sugar equates to 1 cup of granulated sugar then the rule is about 1 1/4 cups.
This depends on what you are measuring. There is "Dry Cup"(a cup of a solid material) and "Liquid cup" (cup of a fluid or liquid). However, a cup (dry or liquid) is classified as a measurement of volume. 1 cup = 250 milliliters or 8.80 liquid ounces
That particular type of measuring cup is actually made for measuring solids (flour, sugar and the like), not liquids, even though a cup is a liquid measure. There is no rim to allow for a straight edge to be used to level the measurement. Measuring cups, for actually measuring liquids, are graduated, and do not measure to the top, to prevent spillage.
A dry measuring cup is the individual measuring cups which usually come in a set of 4, i.e. 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 cup. Glass measuring cups are for liquid.
1.18 cup 1 cup = 8 ounces 1 ounce = 0.12 cup
Dry measure tends to be SLIGHTLY more than liquid measure, which in most recipes won't change things. But, if the recipe has to be increased to feed more people, then what started out as 1/8th cup can end up being 1/4 or 1/2, depending on the amounts used. You can prove this to yourself by filling both a liquid measuring cup (use a 2 cup measure) with exactly 1 cup of water. Then fill to the brim 1 cup dry measure and carefully pour the dry measure cup into the 2 cup measuring cup, get eye level and you will see the difference.
Use a measuring cup with a 1-cup marking. 8 ounces = 1 cup.
I too have measured a cup of liquid with a 1 tablespoon measuring tool and I get 24 tablespoons every time. I have read that it supposed to be 16. Why is this?
1/3 cup or 1/4 cup
6 oz of flour = 3/4 cup of flour, if you are measuring by volume.Edit: Actually, there are only about 4.5 oz of flour in a cup. Therefore, 6 oz of flour is 1 + 1/3 cup. There are 8 fluidounces in a cup, so unless you are measuring a liquid, 3/4 cup is not correct.
Yes there is a difference and the difference is that the line for the liquid cup is under the the top of the cup. For the dry measuring cup the line is the top of the cup. So because of the there is about a 16% difference, the liquid measuring cup being larger.
About 12 13 kernels if 1 cup measuring cup can hold 165 dried corn kernels.
