The Arab people, are an ethnic group originating from Southwest Asia who have spread into countries like Africa during the Muslim conquest of North Africa. The Arab people, by definition are those who speak the Arabic language or an Arabic dialect/creole as a native tongue. The Arabic language, is part of the Semitic family of languages, same family as Hebrew. African-Arabs, are the Arabs from North Africa and Asian-Arabs are those from Southwest Asia. Arabs mainly live in the United Arab Emirates, hence the term "Arab emirates". Arabs, also make one of the biggest immigration populations in the United States along with Chinese and Indians. Iraqi people are also Arabs.
Are Iranians, Pakistanis, and Afghans Arabs? The answer is NO! Pakistanis are Indians or Indo-Aryans, and Iranians-Afghans are Persian-speaking people. Arabs are Afro-Asiatic people, or Semitic people meaning dating back to Biblical times.

Arabs are people of the Middle East that are united by a common language: Arabic, and a common history: the Islamic Caliphates. Arabs are not necessarily of the same ethnic stock and in many cases are of mixed heritage due to intermarriage between the Arabs coming up from the Arabian Peninsula and indigenous Semites and Berbers. Not all Arabs are Muslim, but all Arabs have (in their history) spent time under an Islamic government.

The question is flawed because it assumes that all Americans hate Arabian people and all Arabian people like Americans. This is simply not true. Both groups have within them a large variation in feelings towards the other group. That makes such sweeping generalizations about them useless.
