Christians believe that it is, in most cases, morally acceptable. God created humans to have dominion with responsibility toward animals, "26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." As long as the process is humane, there is absolutely no other options, and the research being done directly benefits humans or animals, it is, from a Christian standpoint, morally and ethically permissible.

(if you disagree, change the above text, do not write under it. Thank you)

I believe that god created the earth, animals and humans so that we could care for one another not so we can torture animals, i am sure that god would not want animals to be tortured just so that silly rich cows can have a new foundation.

Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth." -- (INDERJIT GILL)

Althoughh The Bible says that humans should dominate over animals it doesnt give the right to kill or experimant on them, they have as much rights in life as us and although it is morally acceptable it doesnt make it right or forgivable if a animal should die because we want(don't need) cosmetics.it may be acceptable when needing medicain but it isn't acceptable when it causes death even cristains draw a line at death.

In God's initial idea of Eden there was no suffering, exploitation, or pain. In the book of Genesis, God says, "See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the Earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food." God envisioned a world where his people and all living things could live in peace and equally. But we have decided it is morally acceptable to experiment on and eat animals. As the bible states God says (according to the prophet Hosea), " I will make a covenant on behalf of Israel with the wild beasts, the birds of the air, and the things that creep on the Earth, and i will break every bow and sword and weapon of war and sweep them off the Earth, so that all (NOT JUST US SELFISH HUMANS!!!!) living creatures may lie down without living in fear." God gave us responsibility over the animals so we may care for them, not experiment, eat, exploit, or torture them. In no way would God approve of the treatment of animals in this way

It is possible that a Christian will view free range farming as a disadvantage and make food too expensive. This is because there is a shortage of areas in which to have free range farming.
