Chux pads are commonly used to protect bedding and furniture from urine, blood and other liquids. The pad has an absorbent layer on top of a waterproof back making them a good option for protecting beds during potty training and floors during puppy training as well as for use with those who are incontinent.
Underpads are sometimes called "chux" because the term comes from a popular brand name, Chux, that produces these disposable absorbent pads for medical or incontinence use. Over time, the brand name has become synonymous with the product itself, leading to people referring to underpads as "chux."
St. Chux Derby Chix was created in 2009.
