Martin Luther translated the Bible from Latin into the German language and for the first time common people are able to read what it says in the Bible. In 1957, King joined with other African-American religious leaders to find the Southern Christian Leadership Conference; a year later, he published his first book, Stride Toward Freedom: The Montgomery Story. That December he was named Time magazine's Man of the Year, and a year later collected the Nobel Peace Prize. In regards to him passing on his widow wife , Coretta Scott King, established the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, and in 1986 his birthday was declared a federal holiday. The bill established the Martin Luther King, Jr. Federal Holiday Commission to oversee observance of the holiday.

he published the 1595 thesis and translated the new and old testaments into german. His thesis exposed much wrong such as selling indulgences for personal profits for the priests and corporate profits for the church. A little perspective on the value of the church at the time; Europe was recovering from the Black Plague which decimated their population. In some areas as few as 1 in 10 people survived the plague only to then be subject to starvation, brigands or marauding bands of thieves and fiefdom despots or tiny territorial kings who were brutal to their subjects. The Catholic church brought the first disciplines the continent had known since the beginning of the Dark Age. The church had gained respect and authority among the common people and that put little kings at a great disadvantage. Most kings end their rule on a pike, so the church could almost dictate to kings what their limitations were which ended much of their Barbarism. The church also brought order to the masses so that the brigands were exposed and punished. Finally, they brought the first education the continent had known since the beginning of the dark age. So, when Martin Luther nailed his thesis to the door of the church, he had suffered long and careful consideration of the consequences of his actions. The church would certainly try to discredit him, even have him killed after a mock trial, but Luther's primary concern was "what would happen if the church collapsed?"

Martin Luther was a great philosopher of the 1400's. He was one of the leaders that helped to separate Roman Catholics from Protestants. He was affiliated with many of the crusades taking place during that time period.

.

Martin Luther achieved the tragic splintering of Christendom. Martin Luther's call to reform the Church is know as several things. Among protestants it is know as the beginning of the Protestant reformation, among Catholic historians, it is know as the protestant revolt, I think the best description would be "total disaster". Although his revolt (among other things) did spark the Counter-reformation, and the Council of Trent; it also fragmented the Body of Christ into thousands of squabbling factions, historically depriving millions of souls of the graces available through the Church, and allowing them to be brought up in error and heresy. It is a sad tragedy that the Holy Father and the Church are still trying to repair to this day. Historically, it has not lasted as long as some other heresies in history, but it has probably caused the most damage and tragedy to the most people of any heresy in history.

.

In addition he mutilated The Bible bequeathing a Bible to the protestants missing seven important books that Jesus Christ used.
