As of October 21,2010, polls seem to indicate that Pelosi will be re-elected to a Republican controlled Congress and so will not be speaker. Of course polls are often inaccurate and people can change their minds before they actually vote.
I believe she is almost certain to be returned to Congress. Whether she will remain as speaker is more problematical since polls indicate that the Democrats are not as popular as they were in 2008.
Yes. Nancy Pelosi represents CA-8 (San Francisco)... As the most powerful representative in congress, she's very safe.
YES! Members of Congress come up for re-election every two years.

Nancy Pelosi (and all Congressmen and women) are up for election every two years. Congressional elections are held in November of even years. Mrs. Pelosi has gained more than 70% in all of her re-elections since 1992. The best any Republican challenger has done is 18% (Elsa Cheung in 1994).
No- the scandal broke after Nixon had already been re-elected/
That would depend on which party controls the House after the next election. As long as the Democrats control the House I don't think Pelosi has any challengers in sight. Her re-election seems secure. If the Republicans win a majority, John Boener the current minority leader would be expected to become Speaker.
it hurt his chances for re-election
It hurt his chance for reelection.
The elected council plotted to gerrymander the electoral boundaries so as to maximize their chances of re-election.
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives serve a two-year term of office, and all 435 seats come up for election at once, in even-numbered years.
Re-election is a noun.
Nixon was already in his second term and could not be re-elected again when the scandal broke. If you mean, did the watergate burglary affect the re-election of Nixon in 1972, I would say not. The burglary was foiled before anything was taken and would not have had great effect anyway.
