Check the related link for a guide on how to get Emoji Icons on your iOS device.
Go to the apps store and find the free emoji app to download.
^You don't need an app to get emoji icons. They are all ready a part of the iOS system.
Go into Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard. Then find Emoji on the list. You now can acess these emoticons by tapping the button with the world logo in the bottom-left corner of your keyboard.
Contrary to popular belief, you don't need a third-party app to enable the Emoji ("Emotion People" in Japanese) keyboard in modern versions of the iOS on iPhones and iPod touches.
Simply go to your Settings app and tap on General, Keyboard, Keyboards, Add New Keyboard. Scroll down to the letter E, and you should see "Emoji" listed there.
You can also add it by going to Settings, General, International, and Add New Keyboard and you will still get to the same menu.
Once it is added, you will see a globe icon near your Spacebar that you can use to toggle between your existing language(s) and Emoji. You can either tap on the globe to switch back and forth between your keyboards or hold on the icon to select your chosen keyboard from a list.
The Emoji are sorted out into categories, roughly:
* Smiley faces and General Icons * Nature * Holiday Objects * Transportation, Locations * Symbols and Punctuation
You can easily get Emoji icons through apps. I have been using Emoji Emoticons Art..

The emoji keyboard is available for iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. to access, go to: settings>> keboard>> international keyboard>> japanesse>> the turn on emoji! hope this helped!
You go to settings-General-Keyboard-Keyboards-Create New-Emoji 😎😆
First of all go to the settings app, after that tap on General -> keyboard -> International keyboard and then tap on 'add new keyboard' and then from the end of the international keyboards selece Emoji. Once the Emoji is enabled you can access the Emoji keyboard by tapping the globe icon on the right side of the space bar.
Download emoji from the app store
To use Emoji icons, you can download the app in the AppStore for your iPod touch, iPhone, iPad or android. Open Emoji. Connect to Emoji then go to the settings by pressing the home button. Go to general, keyboard, go to international keyboards and than hit Emoji. Have fun and enjoy. There are a lot of Emoji apps. I think you can try one like Emoji Emoticons Art.
