Some, but not all of Canada's Provinces are divided by the Great Lakes.
All the Great lakes are shared by Canada and the US except lake Michigan which has no Canadian shoreline.
Great lakes
Lake Michigan lies entirely in the US.Only Lake Michigan is entirely inside the US. All of the other Great Lakes also border on Ontario, Canada.
The five lakes you are inerested in are the Greta Lakes. Only Lake Michigan is entirely in the US. Lakes Superior, Huron, Erie and Ontario straddle the US/Canadian border. There is a sixth lake in the group (St. Clair) which is considerably smaller, it is also on the border.

The Great Lakes
The Great Lakes are at the northern border of the United States, except Lake Michigan, which is completely in the United States. Needless to say, the Great Lakes are in the northern US.
None of the five Great Lakes is entirely within Canada. Canada shares four of the five Great Lakes with the US. Lake Michigan is entirely within the US. Hydrologically, however, Lake Huron and Lake Michigan are one lake, which has two large lobes. As such, there are really only four Great Lakes, and all four are shared between Canada and the US.
You can swim in all the Great Lakes.
The group of large lakes in the northern section of the US is called the Great Lakes. They are comprised of Lakes Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie, and Ontario.
