Square Enix owns the Final Fantasy franchise. Nintendo was simply it's preferred platform for releasing games up until Final Fantasy VII when they switched to PlayStation all because Nintendo's choice to stick with a cartridge based medium didn't allow Square Enix (then Squaresoft) to create the game to their expectations due to a lack of physical memory.
There is Final Fantasy XI, but all the rest are all solo games.
You can play as characters from multiple final fantasy games (though not all) in games such as final fantasy dissidia 012: duodecim.
Final Fantasy X-7? no. there is Final Fantasy 10-2 which is the sequel to Final Fantasy 10 (and is the only actual sequel in all of the final fantasy games) and there is Final Fantasy 7, but there is no Final Fantasy x-7. the games may be made by the same people but do not relate to each other in anyway other then the fact they are Final Fantasy.
They are many Final Fantasy games for different platforms there are 14 main games at the moment each game follows a different story line. Final Fantasy XIV the newest game is a online game so is final fantasy XI.
As well as the original 'Final Fantasy 7', there is Dirge of Cerberus, and Crisis Core.
No, All final fantasy games are different. if you pick up final fantasy 7 and then get final fantasy 8, there's going to be a change in: characters, time zones, worlds, etc. the only real thing that's the same is the magic system. spells like fira, firaga, thundara, etc. are found throughout all the games. If you're new to final fantasy, i suggest you play final fantasy 7. it is the top rated ff in the world!Final Fantasy 7 has a storyline followed through by several games, on multiple platforms.Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-II are the only games in the series to be direct sequels; the 7Compilation is more of a focus shift.
all of them Signed, Phoenix
The PlayStation can only play PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 games, including Final Fantasy VII.
Final Fantasy IV, V and VI (4, 5 and 6) were all remade on Gameboy Advance around 2006. Final Fantasy III and IV (3 and 4) were re made again on Nintendo DS. They're the ones i know of recently.
yes it can :) i have them all on my ps2
For the Nintendo DS in my opinion Final Fantasy III is the best game, Its got good graphics and an incredible story line. I would strongly recommend it to all Final Fantasy fans and new fans. Final fantasy III is mostly sword and magic battles. Not sci fi like some fantasy's You can also use Wi-fi to send messages to your friends who also have FFIII and a friend code.
