Atheism is not a religion, so atheists have all sorts of ideas about what the best way for humans to spend their lives are. Most atheists belive in doing the same things everyone does - looking after your family and loved ones, working hard to succeed, and helping to make your society better - but they believe these things are important because they help other humans, not because a god commands them to do it.
Different atheists have different ideas on what the "purpose" of life is. Most would agree that human life just exists, like trees or the sky - it's what you choose to do with it that gives it purpose. Because there is no afterlife, it's important not to waste your life.
"WE ARE GOING TO DIE…. and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Sahara. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats and scientists greater than Newton. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA massively outnumbers the set of actual people. And in these stupefying odds, is you and I in our ordinariness that are here. We privileged few won the lottery of birth against all odds. How dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred." - Richard Dawkins
Basically to stop bitchin' and live life to the fullest and help others do the same.
The entire purpose of life is having sex and not dying.
We are pretty sure it exists.
I know my human desire is for people to stop using the word existentalism.
It does no such thing ! You may want to read about philosophy to learn what existentialism is.
Humans have values, secularly as well as religious. Religion need not play a part in human values. Existentialism is moot.
Domesticate
Human problems belong to human beings. We have created our own problems, but resist any actions to correct human problems. If I gave a list of solutions we'd be here for 1000 years or more. Existentialism does not play a role.
atheistic intelligent design is the theory that everything has been designed, but the creator is not God or a supernatural entity. John Gribbin is an atheistic intelligent design proponent and he concludes human beings are infact the creators of the universe, he calls his theory the "designer multiverse theory" it is a type of atheistic intelligent design. Other atheistic intelligent design proponents include some Buddhists and idealist philosophers who conclude every object in the universe is created from the mind of humans but objects do not exist when nobody is looking at them, what keeps them in existence is experience, Ernst Mach was an atheist who supported this, he called his theory phenomenalism the theory concludes there are no mind independent objects, only sensations are real.
Many nations do have a justice system based on the Bible. Where they depart from it is due to secular or humanistic philosophies which don't acknowledge absolute truth or Biblical ethics. Communist governments are atheistic and have no interest in human rights except for if it suits their purposes. Most hate the Bible and would not want to base anything on it.
Buddhism.
We have and love our friends like anyone else.
Presumably for statistical purposes
Atheistic creationism is the view held by a number of idealist and Buddhist philosophers especially in the 19th century and the early 20th century. Basically every object and thing in the universe even down to the smallest atom is a mental creation, created out of mind. Minds are indeed the creators of the universe. But unlike George Berkeleys subjective idealism which was theistic for atheistic creationism there is no divine mind, there is no God. All creations were created from human minds or other forms of life.
