okay i don't think you meant autoGRAPh but autoTROPH- although the autograph definition is spectacular... an autotroph is basically something that can feed itself (or possibly live all on it's own) an example: plants- they make their own food from photosynthesis and cellular respiration. us humans are not an example of an autotroph; we are heterotrophs- we depend on other things for food or we don't make our own food.

An autograph is a signature. If someone asks for your autograph they want you to sign your name on something (a piece of paper, Baseball uniform etc.).

Autothrophs are any organisms that are able to form its nutrition using inorganic substances. They are able to make organic nutrients by themselves.
