if the river over flows from to much water, it can flood the whole newly buildt civilization, the good thing about it is that it can supply the community with water to drink! that is obviously fatal!!

I believe they settled in the Great Rift Valley.
They settled in northeastern Africa, in the Nile river valley.
The valley was called Tenochtitlan
For the water and the benefits it brings.
Because it was fertile and well watered and offered a settled living.
