Buses in the computer exist to carry signals between electrical devices. They are called that because the number of traces that close resemble bus bars in an old telephone relay. There are different bus technologies. Some are parallel, and some are serial and perhaps even compressed.
computer bus types&function
Essentially, any peripheral or component of a computer has a bus. These are either internal or external in nature. The address bus, data bus, and local bus is the system by which components communicate with one another.
A group of lines that serves as a connecting path for several devices is called bus.In addition to the lines that carry the data, the bus must have lines for address and control purposes.

PCI - Peripheral Component Interconnect.
A bus. (Bus - a path for devices and computer components to communicate with one another.)
Internal data bus is defined as a collection or a sequence of the signal line that are responsible for carrying data from one computer to another computer or from one destination to another destination. Basically it is used to transfer data to the external drives and also referred as the internal bus.
In computers, the bus is the subsystem that transfers data between internal parts of the computer, or from internal parts of the computer to external parts, or between two computers. External bus can be parallel (ATA (and all of its derivations), IEEE-488, SCSI) or serial (USB, FireWire, etc.).
Your data busses sends information from component to component i.e. your FSB (front side bus)/system bus/internal bus communicates between your CPU and RAM, the faster it runs, the faster information is moved between your RAM and CPU giving your CPU quicker access to that data.
An address bus carries address information. It is important because the number of lines in it tells the maximum number of memory addresses. It balances speed.
