Four basic causes I have seen:
the air wont run if engine is shut off. u need engine running to operate the compressor. i would check the rear air blower. sounds like the blower switch is not working or there is a short in blower motor get it checked before it causes a fire in vehicle . try removing rear blower fuse and see it that stops it it is a good place to start looking for the problem
If you are talking about an automobile a/c then they can operate as low as 34 degrees as long as the unit cycles......
Loose connection or blower motor? Bad blower motor? Loose fuse? Bad fan switch?
The air blower and the cruise control are completely powered by separate fuses. It is possible that both have blown fuses.
The blower motor relay controls the electrical current to the blower motor in a vehicle's heating and air conditioning system. When activated, the relay allows power to flow to the blower motor, enabling it to circulate air inside the cabin. If the relay fails, the blower motor may not operate, leading to issues with climate control within the vehicle. This component is essential for ensuring proper airflow and comfort for passengers.
I am assuming you are referring to the air conditioner blower motor. If so, check the fuses first. The resistor could be defective as well as the relay and fan motor.
A ventilation blower should operate long enough to effectively exchange indoor air with outdoor air, typically around 15 to 30 minutes per hour, depending on the specific ventilation needs of the space. Factors such as the size of the area, the number of occupants, and the presence of pollutants or humidity levels can influence this duration. Regular operation is crucial for maintaining indoor air quality and ensuring proper ventilation. It's essential to monitor conditions and adjust the blower's runtime as needed.
Blower resistors are components in a vehicle's heating and air conditioning system that control the speed of the blower motor, which circulates air within the cabin. They work by providing different resistance levels to the electrical current flowing to the motor, allowing it to operate at various speeds. When the blower resistor fails, it can lead to issues such as the blower motor only working at one speed or not functioning at all. Proper functioning of blower resistors is essential for maintaining climate control and comfort inside the vehicle.
beside the blower
Does blower operate at all? If not it could be blower motor, fuse/fusible link, faulty switch, blower resistor pack...sorry not enough info for much more help than that (model, year, just heat not working...or a/c also?)
They're separate blower systems. Have you checked the fuse?
You can find information about automobile air conditioning at any auto store. You can also go online and search under air conditioning to find the information about automobile air conditioning.
