Can a corrective lens be in form of a contact lens?
Answer Since contact lenses are corrective lenses for contact with the eye, I presume you mean the general case with optics. The answer is that lenses can be in contact with each other and often are. But it is very difficult to put two lenses into contact without a gap, so these lenses are usually bonded together with optical cements. Lenses have been made with liquid elements between lenses, too.

What are contacts made out of?
These are the types of contact lenses and the material(s) they're made out of: 1. rigid lenses - polymethyl methacrylate (now improved) 2. soft lenses - silicon hydrogel (which is the material that is being used in manufacture of contact lenses today) 3. hybrid - mixture of materials of both rigid and soft lenses
